That story's ancient history.

I think the 2008 FG XR6T (seen various quotes of 5.1 to 5.4s) and the 2009 370Z (0-60 mph in 5.1s as quoted by Edmunds.com) would be more or less neck and neck in a drag race. But the Z would probably be faster around corners because of its lower centre of gravity and lower weight.

But I'd buy the T, it's some 25K cheaper, has more interior room, and less likely to catch the attention thieves and paint scratching ar$eh0les.

I think the T in question would have performed better if it had Ford Performance Radials.
