could be a buggered rocker or lifter or even camshaft for that matter, it could also be an exhaust leak

Won't be a lifter. There aren't any.

I reckon there is a fair chance it might be an exhaust leak though.

If it's more pronounced under acceleration, it'd be worth checking all the exhaust/turbo gaskets and the dump pipe gaskets.

Can you show me a picture of hydraulic lifters for the Barra engine as I've not seen them?

They have finger followers that run on the lash caps, but I didn't think there were any lifters involved.

lifter/follower, we are pretty much splitting hairs now. They have hydraulic valve lash adjuster (HLVA's if you ask ford) They "follow" the cam and "lift" the rocker, oh and they adjust to maintan valve lash. They are very cute, about the size of a AA batter only 3/4's the length.

Ok thanks.

Ok thanks.

haha.

I've not seen one before and being an overhead cam arrangement I wouldn't have thought there'd be any. Guess I know now.

I had the same problem couple times was a bolt holding dump pipe to turbo that come loose (actually fell out before I found it) if it is replace it with a hi tensile bolt cos ya wont get it tight again (believe me)
