Never mind Rob, I do see a 6spd manual T or a Phoon on my horizon in a couple of of years.

If you can stand being married for that long ill happily do your next wedding for ya.

Just sold my 05 mk 11 T Ute 310rwkw for $17,000 privately. Put it in for $20K but think it would be sitting around for a while trying to sell so got rid of it for 17 K. I think some of the guys who have their Turbos on the market are a bit unrealistic with their pricing as just because you may have spent big bucks on them doesn't necessarily mean they will get it back come sale time unfortunately. Cars are just a depreciating asset, but they are fun never the less and that's what it's all about.

17 grand for an 05 is a bit depressing but your right about the whole car thing being for fun.

I dont really understand the whole concept of advertising your car for 10K more than what its really worth only to sell it 6 months later for a whole lot less than the old market value. Would rather just cut my losses quickly & move on.

I have a similar car to yours, but a little newere with a few less mods, and I was offered 16K trade in recently. (Was speaking to a care dealer friend of mine and thought I'd ask...)

I'm in WA btw, so you should get more than $17 privately...

If you were in Perth $20K wouldn't be unrealistic...

its still pretty much sweet fark all.

The price they're worth doesn't represent the quality of car they are

Maybe I should move it to Perth :B):

Dont think it would pull 20k in Sydney.

Mate if you saw the rubbish over here trying to be sold for $20K, you'd laugh...

You'd have people begging for your car... You would have to end up auctioning it off; eBay style...

All the best,

Dan
