Repacing The Factory Lcd?

I've been looking into a carputer setup. I have a 04 Ba XR6T ute with premium sound (6 stacker, small screen) and I'm looking at replacing the small screen with the larger colour screen. The main purpose is that I want to have a car pc with touch screen, gps navigation. I've been looking at the software Centrafuse and I think that will do everything I want.

Can you get a touch screen to replace the factor colour screen (So there is no need to get the touch screen flim to place on top of the factory screen).

I still want it to work as standard eg, radio, cd, and still be able to use the volume control on the steering wheel

Is there any other advantages in having a purpose touch screen LCD over the factory one with a touch screen cover.

I've read most of the carputer forms and checked out ASL and carpcaustralia, but I'm still left with these Q's.

Any advice would help
