After getting several frantic phone calls today at work, that there was a fire almost at my house, had to rush home and found some interesting but welcome visitors

I heard 2nd hand that the fire has flared up again this morning with the wind...

It's pretty close to my place too so I'll be watching pretty intently.

The dogs are the only thing of REAL value at our place but they're enough to make me attempt a Hawthorn to Karingal run in record time.

Awesome piccies too Mick.

It's crazy the weather you guys have been having down there...for that matter everywhere south of the Qld border!

Hopefully that's the last time you see Elvis

Another local fire this morning, this time a few klms from the workshop, I can see helicopters again and have seen Evis again in the distance.

Would love to catch some bastard starting 1 of these :smiliefatbellydancer:

f*ckin' oath!

Just as an aside, my Mrs. works for the Mornington Shire Council and they have a rating system to describe the level of fire danger on a particular day.

A rating of 50 is classed as HIGH FIRE DANGER.

The other day she received an email at 7 in the morning stating that the rating for the day was 90!!

In the words of one of her senior workmates, it would've been a miracle if there wasn't some kind of fire that day...

Scary shiiiii
