Both the tune I put in his car, and the other tune, were between the 295 to 305rwkw mark, so both tunes made the same power, However the curves on them were very much different.Troughy had ran both tunes back to back down his local drag strip, and well you can guess whos tune was quicker.. Troughy can give the exact details on how much quicker..from memory (Troughy will correct me if I'm wrong) Headsex tune was about 20-30rwkw less than the HPF tune for 0.2 secs quicker down the strip, keeping in mind we only have an 1/8th mile here.... So is there any intention of hitting the strip soon to see what sort of times it will pull???Maybe one day Ryan but it's not really something I'm into. I'd love to know what it's got in it but I just dont want to break something and be left in a hole trying to get to work while it's under repairs lol

I generally see 350wkws as a ballpark max from these intake systems, and that's what I rate them at, so Danny's done well to get 360 without pushing high boost, and constantly going back on the dyno to chase a number.Have fun at the track mate! After trying to explain to them that a dyno is just numbers, I thought, screw it lets find out. We've actually never dyno'ed it since it was first tuned about 6 months ago. After then it was all tuned on the street. I picked that dyno because heaps of people on here have run on that one due to the dyno days the Darren puts on so I could compare to other cars.I never wanted heaps of top end in the tune, I just wanted it to hault arse from the get go because it was always going to be a track car, but Danny just kept throwing numbers at it and obviously it responded well. But as you can see from the sheet, there's plenty more punch to be thrown in to make that tabletop headsex torque curve, but it wasn't run in Shootout mode and we didn't plug in for boost or anything that like so I'll do another one with all those things in it when we do a 100 Octane race tune.I think the cold air intake is doing quite well. What exactly will an airbox will do when I eventually put one in? Is it just better response from quicker spool or?
Worm A much better forum Silver Donating Members 3,808 Member For: 16y 6m 20d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 22/01/09 12:24 AM Share Posted 22/01/09 12:24 AM Yeah... It will be interesting to see the boost and afr... Is it nice and linear? Was is much easier to hold boost steady with a ported wastegate, the 4 inch dump and the bigger exhaust? I would assume it would be easier??? You were getting valve float one your old tune weren't you? And anyone would get overboost with an unported wastegate and pretty much stock exhaust? You wouldnt have anywhere to release the excess pressure... low flowing exhaust and the stock tiny wastegate would make it hard... Is that all that has changed since you last tune? I was surprised you didn't go for at least a 16 or 17 pound tune with a phoon motor...

Not true..My wastegate and flapper are totally stock as is the whole exhaust other than cat, I run a 9psi actuator and my boost holds 15psi beatifully.Depends on the peanut using the laptop most of the time... It seemed quite good, no sign of overboost. But if u had underbattery pipe or different cooler plumbing there may have been a problem
