Hey guys.

I am currently running all standard gear underneath the ute, but I noticed that my mate with a BA turbo sedan seems to ride a lot better on the road. I've read through a few forums and Kings seem to be the way to go in the front, but with the leaf rear in the utes, what is my best option?

I put a full pedders sports ryder kit in my ute and it stiffened it up a lot, They also got rid of the rubber mats that the leaf springs sit on so its all solid now, much better than before.

A ute with a live axle will never handle as good as a sedan with irs though.

I went for the 20mm rear and when I received it the instructions show that you require to drill through the chasiss to install it which I did not want to do.

27 adjustable on the front with kings and bilstien shocks and reset rear springs with bilstien shocks on the rear. Handles well I think.

Im running a 31mm front bar, 22mm rear and Koni red's, My ute handles really nice now. It turns in nice under power and the back end is alot more planted with the Koni's.

Adrain,

When i fitted te 22mm rear bar the hole in the chassie where already there? I thought FPV ute's had a rear swaybar factory fitted?

I put in full pedders setup, with xtreme ryder adjustable coil overs in the front, peeders leafs int he back with shocks to match. made it a hole lot better. but I am going for swaybars real soon to make it a little but better.

but really I think it all depends on how much u want to pay. like the full pedders kit is about 3k but worth it I rekon.

Hi all.

I have a tornado, and am not at all happy with the diff moving about. There is nothing to locate it! Do the XR's have a watts linkage or something? Is there anything available made to suit? I'm actually considering importing a mustang watts linkage kit from the US!

As an aside I saw in the nolathane catalouge, in the section for the leaf spring BA, a part number for the diff locating rod. What is this is it?just bushes, do the RTV's or wagons have something?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Chris.

invest in whiteline swaybars 27mm up front and 22mm (or 20mm can't remember) in the rear .. that will reduce alot of the body roll

This is the setup that fixed my body roll issues (on the car that is), however others have mentioned that the utes are a bit different with there swaybar thickness on the rear for some reason. Some also reccomend adjustable, but that's beyond my effort levels.

I.B.
