mercury these 4spds have been known to go on stock power levels you just cant predict it. Get a good trans cooler, make sure the trans is serviced with good fluids, avoid axel tramp and make sure u have a good tuner who knows how to tune the auto and that should prolong the life of your auto but yeh if your gona mod it make sure u save up for a rebuild coz if u plan to keep the car for years then its inevitable that your auto will need rebuilding at some stage.

No good to hear mate!! I reckon I wont be far behind u. Just a question is the 2500 converter u are fitting, the factory one but modified to be able to reach this stall or an aftermarket unit??? Let us know how u get on with bayswater auto's..

boost coming on hard kills them aswell!I went through 4 before finally deciding to go the powerglide.the last 1 didnt even last 1000ks upped the boost from 16 to 21 then it was all over!good luck with the rebuild

just dropped big red off at bayswater automatics all parts are there except the stally which should arrive today! should all be done by tomorrow afternoon! cant wait!! :nyaah:
