180°F = 82°C

82 degrees celsius thermostat, Tridon brand from Stupidcheap Auto.

Thermostat Part Number - TT1-180

Gasket part Number - TTG-11

Standard Ford opens at 90-91 degress celsius.

Tridon also make high flow versions.

Part numbers for these begin with the prefix TT2000 (high flow 54mm) as opposed to the TT1 prefix (regular flow 54mm).

The second number represents the opening temperature of the thermostat in Fahrenheit.

eg. the TT1-180 I got is a regular flow 54mm, 82°C thermostat.

Part numbers for the high flows are as follow:

TT2000-192 - 89°C High flow

TT2000-190 - 88°C High flow

TT2000-180 - 82°C High flow

TT2000-170 - 77°C High flow

Was just thinking about thermostats yesterday with the heat here in Melb.

I've got a lower temp version fitted (can't remember what temp but it's the one that Mick usually fits to T's).

When I have the AC on, on a hot day, the fans are running a lot of the time whilst driving.

Obviously that's the idea but do we need to worry about the fans wearing out prematurely because of it?
