Might be oversimplified, but it all goes back to Newton’s third law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For someone to be winning...there has to be some poor bastard losing.

Has been more winning than losing lately thanks to creative activities so now it’s just a correction.

Anyone else noticed the number of 'classic/collectable' cars up for sale at the moment?

I often do a used car search on Carsales.com.au without any filters on just to see what it brings up - in the last month or so:

- 1991 Diablo

- Many 1960s Mustangs

- XY GT

- A few GTSs

The list goes one. One can only assume it's a direct correlation to the subject matter of this thread.

As I've said to many, now is a great time to be cashed-up!

What about people with a solid secure job, cash in the bank and not a cent of debt?

Them too - and there MUST be some of them out there, somewhere.

Cars, property... now IS the time to buy if you have the dough.

There are some young guys here, same age as me, lost a heap as part of the collapse of Opes Prime.

I said to them you know what, I've got a mortgage on my house and I've borrowed to buy a depreciating asset (lease on my car). Maybe I'm not going to make money on the car but at least I don't lie awake (and spend all my waking hours monitoring the market) worrying about whether I'll be up or down the next day.
