Rear Suspension

Hi Guys, Have been reading the forum for a little while now, but this is my first venture to ask some questions.

Firstly, I have had my XR6T since May and think that it is the greatest!! This is my third XR6. I have now done 7500kms and have noticed a knocking sound from the rear suspension when starting out in the mornings. Anybody out there experience this?

Second, I now have a slight shudder when braking. What was the outcome of previous discussions re this?

Third, I remember reading about discussions re fitting lights into the driver's window controls. What was the outcome?

Keep up the good work. I'll be in Darwin later this week. Unfortunately without the "baby".

Gordo. :D

I had a clunking from the front steering rack - it was fixed at the first service.

As for the lights in the window switches there is a huge thread on that topic.

In summary:

If you have premium sound it is easy to do. (instructions are in the thread)

If you have premium you also have the option of buying Fairmont switches from Ford (very expensive though)

If you dont have premium it can still be done - slightly more tricky though. (Instructions also in other thread)

Also I have had a number of forum members send me their switches and I have done the conversion for them (premium sound cars only though).

I had a knocking sound from the rear suspension - it was a loose bolt that the dealer mechanic had to tighten for me. Common problem in all models.
