hey.. only the last couple of days.. my car has started to backfire/spit under load or when I rev it hard out.. usually comes in around 3500rpm-4000rpm and sometimes spit and stuff repeatidly until end of the rev range.. but if I smash the car usuing sequential.. from 1st - 3rd it only appears in the 2nd and 3rd gear? could my coil packs be f*&ked? or is this sumthing more? going to go to my tuner tomorro.. but if I have a rough idea whats the go.. I can load him with Q's

I fixed one today that would not rev past 3500rpm while being driven but it would in park...

The problem was that the guts of the cat had come loose and turned sideways in the cat body, virtually blocking the exhaust off.

backfireing is usely a good sign of runing lean, this is very bad!!!

missing undere load and high rpm is a sign of bad coils and or plugs, this not so bad.

id be looking at fuel fillter and pump first.
