guys I was just speaking about the sound that is heard it is something else to hear the v8s screaming round a street circuit with the echos of the building and stuff

QR is probably one of the technically more challenging tracks as it has absolutely no camber to assist around the track

:stirthepot: just ask Jason richards how boring the track is

That was the last time I was out there, between him and Skaiffey having a fondness of the kitty litter it was an awesome race.

I dont think QR can be considered technically challenging. Its the worst track in the country and only consists of 4 right handers and 2 lefts, with some bumps that will throw the car off line at a drop of a hat.

I really wish the plans to build a F1 approved circuit in the cane fields near Yatala had come to fruition. QR is great as a club circuit track but needs a bit of lovin to deserve the V8's.

that is true karl but just ask the engineers how hard it is to set a car up to go fast at qr and not wear the tyres in 10 laps - also I reckon there is more cars end up in the sand at queensland then most other tracks because it doesnt assist the driver at all

im not saying it aint a boring paperclip but it has a little more to it then just the 4 right handers and a couple of lefts lol

Like you mentioned before Matt it's a perfect location for spectators...can see all the track from just about any vantage point. And the noise that comes out of the place is unreal :spoton:

And Jamie takes the second race, must have been the splitter mounts!!!

I felt sorry for Murphy for the first time ever. And to think him and Richards have gone dirt bike riding together today. Might be a quiet ride.

After what he did to Ambrose at the mountain, I don't think I'll ever feel sorry for Murphy. He's a deaset Kiwi whinger.
