Was built right on the cross over period, but landed in Oz while they were still being stamped as MY05 compliant... sold as a MY05 but was in fact a MY06... the the 3 dealers that serviced it over the 2 yrs I had it all said its not a frequent thing to happen, however not un common... Maybe this is a similar case?09 model and plated, but 08 built???did they say it was 'BUILT in 2009?' it could be a FOB!
Worm A much better forum Silver Donating Members 3,808 Member For: 16y 5m 10d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 16/01/09 10:10 AM Share Posted 16/01/09 10:10 AM f*ck em mate... This is a joke...If they told you they could get you a car, then they should be supplying it.If you put down a deposit, this is to secure a car at the holding yard...If they cant supply the car, they should supply something that is of more value, not some rubbish 12 month old VW... Its generally not the best idea to leave a car there undriven for 12 months. Tyres harden, oil is old... LOLI cant believe they are even suggesting the stuff... LOL The one you dont want has leather, so you have to pay for it How about we signed a contract f*ckwits and you aren't coming good on it... Tell them to come good with the contract... The games car sales men play is the key reason they have such poor reputations. Does anyone really trust them anymore apart from our own loyal regular.I think it will be a 08 build as Smicky had with his WRX, I just cant see how they built one in 09 and managed to ship it out here in under 3 weeks unless it was flown out.I.B. A trader may also be in breach of Section 42 of the Fair Trading Act 1987, for misleading or deceptive conduct in circumstances where it was not intended to supply as ordered. For example, the delivery date was exaggerated in order to influence the client's decision to purchase and the supplier did not have reasonable grounds to believe it could deliver on that date.Traders should ensure that: * they have sufficient stock to meet the orders; * they take into account possible delays in the distribution or manufacturing process before committing to a delivery date and accepting paymenthttp://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/Consumer.../Contracts.html Edited 16/01/09 12:28 PM by SubJimbo

All I will be doing from now on is telling everyone not to go there for these exact reasons. Do they even think about how detrimental this could be. They me be one of those dealerships that suddenly close there doors in the coming weekds, like so many have done in recent weeks gone by.I.B. As Smicky said, Print out that page I linked you too, and highlight all the parts applicable to you and show the dealer, they will sh*t themselves! be Firm!
