Sorry smicky, been a while. :blush:

Got so many projects on the go at the moment.

Been trying to get my T-rex 600 off the ground for the last week. (Large R/C heli) :rolleyes:

And I thought car stereo tuning was hard. :wacko:

I should have some updates and pics by the end of the week. Hopefully. :sofa:

:stupid::blush:

Sorry mate, no further updates. Last year was a busy year for me.

I'm slowly starting to get the itch again though so maybe some more updates in the next couple of months.

heres a quick question for you mate.

DSCF1030.jpg

I assume those vents with the foam around them deliver the air con to the rear seats. However myself having a ute those vents are blocked off a couple of plastic plugs. At that ^^^ stage of dismantling the interior, the ute is the same. What I would like to know is whether you have pictures of the pipes that take the air through the centre console?

Thought about maybe getting some parts and reopening the airways for the ute. Air is blown to the blocked pipes I found when looking for the condensation leak problem. Wondering if all that cold air ending inside the interior trim may be contributing to the problem.

Cheers mate :werd:

From the looks of that, (which ive now saved a copy) <018B90> the main body of the console also integrates the ducting. In which case, the ute has the same set up, just the square ends at the far end are blocked off. Time to investigate with a knife.

I'd say you're on to something there - seems to predominately be the utes with the footwell water issues.

One of my previous utes actually had those rear vents in it, thought it was the BA but could have been the AU :hmmm: But yeah the centre consoles are otherwise identical...dunno why they just don't fit the same to the utes. Must have saved them $0.82 per vehicle I suppose.

Contemplated changing it over in the BF purely to keep stuff in the centre console cool...melted snickers are not so good!

Hey mate quick question,

Is that speaker wire taped up at the bottom of the b pillar in the 10th photo the same type of cable you are using for the whole system? including tweeters?

If so I think ill have to re-wire mine before I hook them up as I have wired in my new rear speakers with the same type of cable as the ford stuff, not the stuff in the wiring kit, I thought that was for subs.......... s**t.
