Hi all,

My first post here, but I just put down a deposit for a G6E Turbo, in Ego, Shadow trim. Got it for $51,500 including some extras (mats, musplats, etc etc) on the road. It's 2008 plated, but brand new.

I drove one for the first time today and three hours later paid my deposit... Awesome car :ermm:

I'll be sure to post some pics when I get it, as for when, well that's up to the bank. Just waiting on all the paper work to be done, once that's all done I can get a delivery date. Should be in a week or two at the most.

I got quoted full RRP price for an XR6T with luxury, tech & safety last week and couldn't stop laughing at the dealer....you would have thought in these economic times that they would play ball to sell some farking cars...the Expensive Daewoo dealership was prepared to sell me a VE Bogan special for $47K driveaway - very tempting to say the least....but its a farking Holden....

The missus and I went in early December (which is when I 'started' buying mine) and asked for a quote on a G6ET and G6E. Yes, the guy 'refused' to give any noticeable discount until we said we were DEFINITELY interested.

The poor young fella actually tried to get us to sign on the dotted line before we left, which there was no way I was gonna do under any circumstances. Told him I had to go the 1.5km around the corner to check out the Calais V V8 first!

As an aside, the price he offered was the non-December employee discount price. Let's just say there was an additional incentive in December which he declined to pass on to me. No wonder he was so eager for us to sign!

A week later we went back to buy (just the one car, as they wouldn't give good enough trade in to pursuade the boss to sell hers) and funnily enough the young fella was no longer employed there.
