Depends what you mean.

The standard 2 1/4 twin system will flow better than a single 3" system.

But. The mufflers are the achilles heel in your case.

If you replace the centre muffler with straight through pipes I'm pretty sure it will flow better than a single 3" catback system.

If this is not the case, glad to be proven wrong though.

yes I have cut the centre mufflers out but still have the rear one. Its just that my standard muffler is abit bent after a little mistake :$ and was wondering about a new 3" one pretty good excuse I throught. But if it won't improve flow abit I don't think I'll bother and just straighten my standard one out, and also how much better does a 3" sound?

just got back from exhaust shop - they can't do a 3 and a half inch pipe so will have to stick to 3" or standard... back to original question... will the be any improvement in power? or will I loose power? its a lurkey exhaust from cats back

Pretty lame exhaust shop if they can't bend some 3.5" pipe!

Anywho - the 3" exhaust is basically the same flow area as the stock exhaust, so you won't lose any power, but its not going to give you much either
