Ill be heading down to wsid tomorrow night with my fg xr6t for a run.. its completly stock so I want to see how she goes before I mod it..

a couple of questions, I have the zf auto and was wondering if I should just put it in performance mode and nail it? or ease on the throttle?

also traction control on or off...? cheers for any input guys

Good luck mate.

Try getting a feel for the track in Performance mode first, then if you are feeling confident try manual mode. It probably won't spin off the line at WSID cos the surface is very grippy compared to the street, so just tromp it and see how you go.

Turn traction control off.

ok guys best time out of 3 runs was 13.3 :) that was with the zf in performance drive and traction control off...

in one run I accidently hit into the manual mode and I didnt know so half track I backed off because it wouldnt shift into 4th...

but yeah 13.3 is very decent for a dead standard fg xr6t... not one mod!

here are some numbers

r/t .579 ( crap I know lol )

60' 2.316

1/4 mile 13.3

k/mh 172.84

its was a very very hot night 31'c track temp was 40!!!!

so on a cooler night this car should do better....

Well done, you could run a 12 if you could get your 60 foot time down, plenty left to improve there 2.0 would do it..

NO MINE WAS THE BLACK FG ... only one there....

yeah the 60ft time was killing me...

next time I should try stalling it up to 2grand or something on the line...

but I was impressed with the 13.3, for a complete stock car I was cheering. had alot of compliments throughout the night :) beat all 3 v8s I raced too... with work don e to them...

Well done champ,13.3 is a great time for a stocker, most v8 owners respect our cars nowadays .stalling it up of the line will help,so long as you dont wheel spin.

you should read thread on CV PERFORMANCE page on juniors edited/tuned FG xr6t ,I had this car on FWY very impressive !
