There is something about the sound of a v8... its intoxicating and addictive. But there is nothing like a turbo six spooling up, the sound of the turbo as it seemingly sucks in the horizon is extremely satisfying. Unless the v8 can move as good as its sounds, it leaves you feeling flat and ripped off.

No matter what the v8 guys say, the boss motor is nothing to get excited over.

I recently had a GT mate say to me "mines quicker than yours"

I said "what did you pay for yours"

"bit over 50, you?"

"bit over 25, and it will leave yours for dead"

"its not an f6 mate, you havnt got a chance.."

Loaded tunes, 3 runs later he concedes defeat and says the only thing he could..."yeah well at least mine sounds like a real mans car..." whatever mate...

Reading the latest Top Gear mag and FPV are bringing out the GS, I love the look of it and would seriously consider it if/when I look to upgrade the T in a couple of years. Slightly less power than the GT but the same torque and they reckon you wouldn't really notice the difference. But back to the topic on hand I would go an F6 in the FGs, I like the look of them better than the GTs, although my mate has a BF Super Pursuit tray back with about 20k on the clock and if I had the money I would it in a flash.

^unless the one they are testing has bugger all kays on the clock. It is rare to see a magazine get one into the 5s easily... and those guys can drive fine, look at the other times they've manged.

Lets all be honest. The BOss engine is a slug unless blown. Bring on the coyote and forget the Boss forever...

My brother had a BA MKII GT that could consistantly get 0-100 in the 5 bracket.

Anyone who can only manage 0-100 in 6.4 seconds in a GT needs to learn how to drive. They are capable of far quicker 0-100 times than that.

wheels sept 2009 , I did not do the test , I only assume they know what they are doing

maybe maybe not.

F6 + 10K = 400+rwkw!!!!

Its a no brainer really.

Theres a reason why they are not selling many GT's.

Funny that the V8 FPV's outsell the F6 models nearly 2 to 1.

GT's if driven properly can run around 13.4-13.5. I've seen a few stock as a rock models do it.

Anyone who can't crack 13's in an FG GT must be retarded.

I was a V8 man through & through love the power, love the sound.. for the last 18 years until I tried something different & bought my phoon... I am now a true convert, I love that initial feeling when the turbo just starts to spool up, the whistle that it makes & how it slams you back in the seat .... F6 all the way mate

Does anyone know if the FG F6 will come in an R spec version soon? I was a V8 man until I bought my FGXR6T ute. If a GT came out with 350-400 rwKw I might consider one but for now next car an F6.

It took 8 months and finally got the FG F6! If you want to cruise GT is fine but if you want to have fun F6 is best.
