G'day guys,

Been on here for a while, but this is basically my first post.

I'm looking to get a BF onwards xr6t ute preferably manual, and will need to tow a trailer about 2-4 times a year down to Sydney (from brisvegas). I've searched the forums a fair bit RE towing and understand the towing limits of the xr6t and that they have no probs with it.

However I could not find an answer for this question. What are people’s thoughts on towing with a modified T with about 350rwkw? Obviously the clutch would have been replaced long ago with a higher spec twin plate.

Apologies if this has been answered before, but I was unable to find any info.

Cheers,

Brendan

As strange as it may seem to many....a model train layout :nerd8: GVM for the trailer will be less than the 1200kg limit for manuals

:stupid:

The main concern that led the Tow Limit to be 1200kg on Manuals was the clutch. The BA/BF clutchs were very poor, so with an uprated unit you should have no problems. Just try and shift down gears rather than loading up the higher gears to accelerate and go up hills.

Just regulate that right foot and you will be fine. Just did near on 5 thou K's towing a trailer it was a breeze just had to keep it to reasonable speeds when over taking B-Quads.

If youve got a less powerful tune I would run it so there is less likely hood of fully loading up the engine and driveline
