I do understand your dilemna, as it's very hard to beat the sound of a quad cam V8 at full voice. One of the local GT-Ps is now sporting a Herrod Exhaust and, so I'm told, a digital implant. I heard it "cruising" the area the other day and it was simply one of the best sounding streetcars I've ever heard. It just stopped me in my tracks.

As nice as the car is, and please dont get offended, people can buy a new XR6T for only a few K more, through a broker, and that is with premium sound, sports wheel, side airbags. And that's unused Km's. It's a manual as well, and as good as a manual may be, poor journalism has made them an unwanted prospect to the nieve. Performance breaks are only valuable to those who circuit race, they offer no more stopping power than the standard ones, they just handle more frequent breaking, so to the average driver, their value is non-existent. Why not get a trade-in, do a deal with the dealer. Your buying almost $70,000 worth of motor car on road, after just buying nearly $50K worth!!, surely, he'll give you a fair deal. Dealers put $2k on the price of all new cars anyway to cover the "Minimum trade-in" that makes em look like their doing you a good deal. Go into your dealer and demand. Oh... and just quietly, if you want good finance... These guys looked after me Esanda Finance

I don't mean to offend, I know what the car is worth to you, just sayin what I'd do in your boots. God I wish I could spell :nugget:

No offence mate.

l do have to find a buyer who wants the options l have so that the price is fair to them. If buyers are comparing my car to a stocky that's probably for sale around 42k, then l dont stand a chance. If they want the options we have then they wont have too many s/h cars to pick from.

l probably will go back and hassle the dealer again if it comes to that in another week or two, but l am not really that fussed. If its not an excellent deal then no deal. After all, l still have a T, and am content to wait until next year :)

That's right Mondie, don't lose sight of your actual position here. You are still the owner of a new and one of the most wanted cars on the streets today!!

I could think of worse cars to be "stuck with"!!

Patience is a virtue, you have a vehicle which will be good to you for many a year, it's not like the GT is a limited edition and about to go out of production.

Give it time, when it's right it will be right!!!

Patience and continue to appreciate and enjoiy what you do own. They deserve our love!!

Thanks for the offer mate.

l have decided that once the ad has completed its run in the Trading Post next week l will call it quits until next year. l am not fussed either way.

l will tell the dealer we want dibs on the first FPV T6 they are allocated next year, and sit back and wait and see just waht FPV come up with B)
