Im a husky man as well..

Up side, a little smaller, down side they (generally) farking howl so much more then most other breeds!!!

Mal's while bigger, apparently dont howl anywhere near as much, and apparently are meant to be smarter, but who knows that one...

Mate, my gf was a vet nurse for the past 3-4 years and she has always said that Mal's are a gorgeous breed and while they can be a little "silly" sometimes (running around you alot and making lots of noise, etc) the good points farrrr outweigh the bad.

I really want a dog that is going to challenge me and make me exercise more,

As long as you make the effort to train him/her well, I guarantee you'll enjoy walking them so much that you'll almost want to go out for a stroll more than they do.

We used to have big problems with our Bull Arab/Wolfhound cross being a disobedient pain in the ass whilst walking (she's well trained, just chose not to listen under some specific circumstances) so we decided we needed another big dog. Adopted a 6yo male Doberman as a companion for her about a week ago and it's like a light switch went off in her head.

Make no mistake, I am a lazy, lazy bastard. :) but walking the hounds is now so relaxed and enjoyable that me and the mrs. have started doing it every morning and night, about a 30minute round trip.

Good luck with it. Fun times ahead ;)

You learn something every day, I was wondering why Bronson, our shep used to always dip his paws into his water bowl......... now I know!

Haha, our new Dobe' is named Bronson too!

Was it after Charles Bronson??

Everyone I have spoken too say that the good outweigh the bad, so hopefully its all good then!!!

Bronson is a good name ha?? that's my next dilemma what to name him??

So anyone out there with any good suggestions for a male malamute let me know???

Oh and Smicky........gave the breeders a call and she put me onto another breeder in SA who is having a litter in two weeks and im the fourth person on the list so.......
