Getting ready to go away,so I thought I would check the oil level,to my surprise I found some pin head size objects on the dip stick, dipped again after cleaning the dip stick and found some more.Wtf is it ,cars has about 13000km, oil was changed at 3000km.Going to do an oil change today and see if I find any larger pieces. Will let you know how I go later today.Cheers Nick

What sort of 'objects' were they?

Metal, paper, plastic, dirt?

You should cut open your oil filter and see what's in the element also.

so I thought I would take it to ford and show them, they dropped the oil, changed the filter and asked them to open the filter up.So dick head cuts it with a hack saw, filter internals covered in metal,It,s hard to tell thought I saw some small pieces of copper, small pieces are alloy not from cutting the filter as the magnet wont pick them up.Have taken the oil home will check it when it cools down.Ford gave me some good news I have an engine oil sump leak so it needs to be removed, gives me a good chance to see whats in the bottom of the sump.Diffs leaking as well,My car is the biggest piece of sh*t put on 4 wheels, its going to get nasty with ford I can feel it.I'm not a bad bloke but there getting me close to loosing it,and fark they don't know what there in for.I have kept a log with all the problems and I wont just roll away.So all I hope for is to get to qld and back in my car,so I will relax enjoy my time up there and get ready for war when I return.Cheers Nick

Mate, if they cut your filter open with a hacksaw that says alot about the skill level of the tradesman that was doing the job.

If it were mine, I'd be complaining like phuck and taking it elsewhere.

If there's copper in there that can't be good.

Copper will most likely be from thrust bearings.

Good luck.

I have calmed down a little now ,when the sump comes off it will tell the story of whats going on.If there is anything to be happy about I was going to take it to my brother for some work later this month by finding the sh*t in my engine it saved my new car warranty. When I get back from qld the first thing I'm going to do is open the oil filter and see what I find.Cheers Nick
