GT 6T and GT T6 sound like an old Triumph GT6.

GS was an original Ford Australia brand name, I can't see how it can be confused with A Type -R

Perhaps it might be an idea to check on Ford history before slagging off !

Type R is associated with import cars (as others have pointed out) so Idon't see this as being suitable for Aussie Falcon. The GT-P should be the new 'GTHO'. A modern day GTHO could never live up to the name  so have a beefed up (power, not weight) GT-P - GT-Performance.

The GS was really a "vacationer" version of old XB's etc. not really the image we need!

There is little doubt that they will do a GT HO. It will have to be very good though. Its got a lot to live up to.

IMHO the GT-P should have been the GT-HO, lose a few kilos and a bit more hit say 330Kw would have done the job.

Poor old Ford they are flat out making Xr's at the moment and grinding away peoples standard brakes......

Ford should make it a legend in the making and GTHO Phase4 should finally be born and be a standout from the GT-P

I say we let the Phase IV rest in peace and let the name be revived with the Phase V.

There already is a phase 5, in the xD Falcon model made by Phase Autos. The bodykit styling was used on Dick Johnson's, and I'm not sure, but there may have been a Phase VI in the XE model, I.e. Kirmit, but I'm not too sure. Now although it's not manufactured by Ford technicaly, it's gonna be confusing with a Phase V model. :drivingalong:

How about Ford BA Falcon GT RPO 03?, and with the performance XR6T/XR8, call it a Ford BA Falcon XR ESP. since I'm pretty sure the sports suspension technology has been used for years in Europe, might as well call it European Sports Pack.

GTHO and nothing else for a 380-400 kw V8 falcon, and it has to be kept under 100 grand or it will be a disaster.

Needs to be about 80 g's max.

It costs 80+ for a gt-p so keep saving-if they were gonna pay 20+for a 427 monaro  any thing is possible

If ford keep it under $100K then it will compete with the GTS. Given the competitive pricing we have seen so far I wouldn't be suprised to see it well under 100.

Personally, whilst I can't afford one, I think it would be a wise marketing move to keep it as low as possible even if it meant no profit. The PR that would come from a resonably priced beast would have to have a positive impact on the 'lesser' models like the GT, GT-P and whatever else FPV may release soon. Keep it to a low build number and another legend should be born.
