The change in rods was a rolling change. I don't think you would get one that has been sitting around for 3 years, dealers don't carry short motors in stock, they get one sent from the plant. Considering its not a high volume part either I would assume they don't have many sitting around for that amount of time. Mine ran 300 rwkw for over a year and I gave it a hard time (at the track of course). When you start pushing up over 340 rwkw then you are playing russian roulette!!But then in saying that, I know of a few that have lasted a number of years running in the high 300 rwkw range but then these guys are not very heavy on the loud pedal. There certainly had some quality problems with the original BA bottom ends.
