I believe that it was a stock Turbo with an upgraded wastegate actuator.

must have been that ute ..... if the nitto sits closer 2 the intake, then in theory it should be less laggy ????

no, more laggy.

the longer runners promote low down torque, and since the Nitto has short runners, its top end speciality

its how the BBM (on NA cars) works

below 3500rpm the short runners are blocked off, so the long runners are used, promoting low down torque

once it gets to 3500rpm, the butterflys open and the short runners are used

The Nitto plenums are also rather large in terms of volume when compared to others, hence the greater top end. That would also contribute to the sloppy low end torque I'd say

I have been a passenger in a 10 second nitto fitted xr ,there was no evidence of any flat low down spots.

This car wheel spun 1/4 of track on full slicks yet still run 10s,this plenum works Period !

I agree, it is a great plenum if you want to build a quick drag racer when you are operating at the high end of the rev range 95% of the time under high load... but it does not help low to mid range torque hence drivability which is what most of the cars are used for (based on what I have seen and heard).

I guess it comes down to what the buyer wants to achieve ...

Vehicles such as ours are now comunly tuned in excess of 300 rwkw, regardless of throtle position and plenum size, there is more than ample torque to move vehicle effortlessly.thanks to a generous displacement 4 litre engine

.suggesting this set up is more suited to racetrack and or higher revs is not being realistic.as far as drivability is concerned it is no different to any other t.

All Turbo Falcons drive like naturally aspirated falcons,(UNTILL) they spool up,only then does the turbo generate enough gas to feed air to intercooler, plenum and throtle body .

My opinion is :if a n/a Falcon engine is the leader in its class Torque monster, having a Turbo/larger Plennum added to it ,doesnt mean you need to rev it highly or have a high load . :idunno:

Aren't they $3.5k?

I'd say the Nizpro, Process West, Plazmaman etc etc units would be money better spent.
