Speak to Kate at FPV, she's very helpful and actually seems to care.

My car was at FPV for about 10 days! Don't panic, there was a reason and it's wasn't really FPV's fault.

The actual work at FPV took about 3 days. It was all ready to go, had a status of MARSHALLED and then they decided it would be the one in five cars that they pick at random to do a Quality Assurance inspection on.

I suppose (now) I'm glad they did it, you know, piece of mind and all, but it did delay the delivery by one day.

... so, ok, QA done, now has it's GATE PASS, waiting only for transport ... now this is where it got real f*cking ugly! The bastards at Toll Transport couldn't manage to get it on a truck for 1 week, yes, 7 days! My baby sat in the holding yard for a god-damn week!

I can't begin to describe my rage, my williness to comit illegal acts of vengence against Ford, Toll and whoever else got in the middle.

So, I've forgotten your question now and my pulse is back to pre-delivery levels ... big breath, ooohhhhh, that's better.

All I can tell you my friend is that your car should be a couple of days at FPV and a couple of days to transport, depending where you are, e.g. Melbourne to Sydney = 2 days, Melbourne to Perth = 5 days, etc.

Hang in there, I assure you the wait (as painful as it is) is truely worth it!

Rainy, don't mean to be personal about this, but can't help but get upset when you wait all that time for the car to get a SIDO, then eventually get a BUILD DATE, then get through the PRODUCTION process to ultimately sit in a yard for a week!

I understand the logistics of the situation ... so here's your chance to defend your company and it's procedures and policies ...

Can you explain to us what happens from the holding yard in Melbourne to the Dealers yard in whatever destination the car is headed for, e.g, who loads the car, how are they loaded, what stops are made on the trip, do the cars go to holding yards at the destination or the dealers? etc., etc.,

How many trucks are assigned to this, how many drivers, what shifts do they work, how many cars get damaged, what's done about this?

Start slowly at the beginning and describe the process from FPV to the Dealer.

Thanks.

Sorry Ken,no can do!

I DO work for Toll transport but I work in food and beverage transport. I do know that Ford must be satisfied with the service that we provide(we are the only company involved with Ford to recieve the

"Ford supplier excellence award"

twice in a row) We must be something right.

Did I mention that this award entitles all toll employees and there families a 22% saving off the price of a new falcon, accessories included.

Sorry I can't help you with the info, I'll ask a few questions and see what info I can dig up!!!!
