On my old setup of 250rwkw I was beating XrT with 100rwkw more.

With 4.11 diff gears standard it was no contest off the line, I would be in second gear and a car length infront while the XR was still in first.

Skyline 1400kg

XRT 1800-1900kg

On the freeway was a different matter. The torque of the 4L would be very hard to beat.

With current setup I have yet to make a comparison, I would think an XRT would need 400+rwkw to keep up.

Funny that no one has mentioned a the vl turbo yet, as the xr6 turbo is considered the new vl turbo.....margority of the vl's are auto and quick with sh*t loads more of build time than the xr6 these cars I reckon would be a nemesis. All they need is exhaust, a wolf computer, CAI, and cooler, and they move.

my 2c.

vl's can be fast, but will NEVER be as fast as a t or have the hp potential. single cam head just cant flow enough air.

now lets see a power chart of the rb30 single cam cars. then we will compare the efficiency of boost 2 power output, and see what the numbers are like on pump fuel when comparing to dohc.

OK bud, you realy don't know much about vl's then cause they orginally had better flowing motors, than the xr6 turbo when they both came out (that's why I have a Rapid V 2.0 kit on order) as for the heads it's a personal choice as a number of mechanics told me. And alot of the big hp vl's are still single cam heads, if you make everythig bigger valves spring, valves etc. your going to save more money then if you made everything bigger in the double cam head. As the TITLE says What other cars give usa run for our money?...........At the moment half the vl's listed above are beating us.

but I don't give a sh*t I still love my :msm:

dont get me wrong , but for a single cam vl to be running times .... eg 8's they must have a head that can flow some decent numbers

I think tt supras are a car that do and will give us boys a good go
