What Other Cars Give Us A Run For Our Money?

Everyone knows that with a few easy mods, a XR6T especially from BF2 onwards will make an easy 300rwkw and run low to mid 12s...

What about other cars? what other cars are responsive to a few easy mods??

WRX, 200sx?, Golf GTi?, Nissam Skyline? LS1 or LS2?

Owned everythin there except the GTI and LS2 engine wise in that list

Wrx needs around about 200- 210kw@4s to run a mid to high 12 = Broken gbox wont last long fun but expensive with the right mods they can be quick.

Skyline R33-R34 GTST get to about 240rwkws and then bigger $$$ need to be spent on them to get the numbers also 300rwkw is close to there limit on a stock bottom end, But they are heaps lite so with 270-300rwkws it would be a good run

R32 GTST ----- PFFFT waste of time 2L 6cyl for any car there flat out makin 200kw@ with a heap of work

LS1 ---- Exhaust, Mafless tune, CAI = 240rwkw ======== STILL SLOW but sounds good

R32 VW GOLF would be a good run they are quick little cars very awesome with a few little mods QLD police have some of these as undercover pursuit cars now

Also believe the EVO 9 would be a pretty good competitor against the XR6T with few mods these will run low 12s high 11s every day

Skylines, silvias, supra's, etc all the little Jap imports its almost too easy all of the time,

LS2 is a pretty fair run,

R32 VW bloody quick for what they are, found out the hard way, as for eveything else I just yawn and dont really try anymore, not a challenge...

I had a pretty even match with a cressida with a 1J in it at the drags

I was reading about the BMW 135i and 335i cars with a simple Edit and intake mod. Just search JB3 and 335i/135i. It is called a juicebox.

They are running 12.7sec 1/4 times with just and edit !!!!!

I had a run with a stock 335i and it was quick, but the F6 still showed it the door on my private road.

raced a R34 with rb30 bottom end, big turbo etc running 307rwkw beat him quite easily...only cars that have given me a good run are other XR6ts, F6s, an AMG supercharged V8 with work done to it and 1 R33 skyline that must have had a mortgage thrown at it but we were still even lol

Funny that no one has mentioned a the vl turbo yet, as the xr6 turbo is considered the new vl turbo.....margority of the vl's are auto and quick with sh*t loads more of build time than the xr6 these cars I reckon would be a nemesis. All they need is exhaust, a wolf computer, CAI, and cooler, and they move.

yeh gotta agree there VLs dont need much at all to get going guess that's the benefit of a light car with a fairly powerful engine. Also an STI got me back when I had 242rwkw it had some work done to it but, havent seen it again since

yeh so did I. we raced when he was stock and I had 242rwkw and I beat him big time then saw his car at the workshop getting work done....turns out he spent $15k on the engine, lined up again with my 296rwkw and oops owned again from roll ons and off the line several times, back to the workshop for u son lol technically speaking he should have beaten me I personally saw his car pull 307rwkw on the same dyno I got 296.4rwkw from maybe hes a crap driver I duno lol
