hey guys im new to this turbo game. been running an na ed xr6 but its time to upgrade.

I have around 25k to spend. not enough but im only an apprentice.

what would you suggest? I was thinking getting a car for low 20s and spending some coin on it.

want to tune it and lower it for sure.

what would be my best plan of attack?

any help is much appriciated.

shop around and read this site as much as you can before spending your money, you will learn alot and will soon know what to buy. your plan sounds good already but read peoples mistakes before you make them yourself

your plan looks the goos spend low 20's maybe a bit under depending on your patience really and then with your other 5kish u should b able to get urself close to 300kw but like jamie said if u read up on this forum first it will give u a gr8 idea on how to go about buying your car and hhow much to spend

and obviously n e car thtat has had reasonable mods done to it has not been drove by a fairy otherwise the mods wouldnt b there regardless of what theey try to say ;)

you should be able to pick up an 03-04 model for around 20k even under if you haggle a little, $5k can go along way with these beast!!

as mentioned, do some research, ask the questions, wont go wrong here mate

for 25k I would definatly get a modded one.. you will get a hell of alot more bang for your buck that way.

90% of the people here drive there cars hard. very few would "thrash" or abuse them without maintaining them to a higher standard then what some people would if it were just a car

Yeh, im with Tocchi and disagree with what the others have said.

If it were me, id rather make sure I purchased a BF with a build date after 06/06 to make sure I had the F6 bottom end. Bonus is that your either gonna get the ZF6 Auto or the T56 manual which are both reliable.

If it takes you another year to save money for mods, so be it. Gonna be much better than buyin an early BA with money to mod it to find your transmission isnt up for it (pretty big $$)...

Spend the $25k wisely, get used to it and then once you have saved some good coin, you will be able to mod it nicely and correctly first go without having to worry about the overall reliability of the car... GL dude!
