hey guys,

I'm thinking of removing the stripes on my ute, to anyone that's done it:

-are they hard to take off (do you need to heat them etc)

-do they leave much of a mark, if so what did you use to get it off

thanks!

I don't like the colour of the stripes . Some stripes make a car look awesome my brother has orange on his silver xr8 looks pretty mad.

With the removing I have key scratch proof stickers around the locks on my hard lid Ralph suggested some oil. But is there any other method? The sun is making them a poo green colour they were clear once

Use WD40 to clean the glue left behind spray it on leave it for a while and rub it off.I use WD40 to clean glue of painted vinyl ,removes the the glue but dosn't damage the painted vinyl.Had a customer who spilled some contact glue on his seats it dried ,was on there for weeks, the WD40 removed it.I use WD40 to clean alot of things.CheersNick

well the stripes came off with no probs (took about 1.5hrs!)

Although one stripe on the door left a sh*tload of glue, and WD40 didn't do anything.

Ended up getting a glue removal spray which worked like a charm.
