Same as no more than 7500rpm.They were using Optimax a couple of seasons ago. Not sure which fuel they were using last season.Either way, it was/is a fuel you can buy from the servo. There was a sponsorship thing between v8supercars and Shell a couple of years ago to supply a standard fuel across the board and it was Optimax. I'm not sure if it has changed but this season will be the E85 stuff. Again a standard fuel for all the teams. It's another one of the control measures in the sport.Could you imagine what sort of power the teams that have big dollars heavily invested in their engine programs would be able to produce with race fuel?Kind of brings the whole parity thing back to ground level and the Expensive Daewoo mob would be whinging again. No race fuel. CSR Ethanol joined the V8 Supercars Championship Series at the weekend’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 for the announcement of its role as the official fuel sponsor of the sport and of the CSR V8 Racing Green carbon offset program for the next three years. CSR Sugar chief executive Ian Glasson said every litre of E85 made from CSR Ethanol produces less than half the CO2 emissions than one litre of petrol. “We are in the business of motorsport which will always rely on fuel as its main source of energy but it is time for us to set an example to the wider community to strongly consider ethanol as an alternative fuel,” V8 Supercars Australia chairman Tony Cochrane said. “Over time we believe that ethanol will become the fuel of choice and will be available at more retail outlets so we encourage everybody to start using ethanol in their everyday lives.”"Aswell as this im pretty sure on of the Expensive Daewoo teams this year was running it with no troubles. The move to a much greater percentage of ethanol appears to be a continuation of that push"and"The new fuel will lower the output of 640 horsepower engines by approximately 8 to 12 horse power, a change that would not be noticed by spectators, yet the fuel consumption for the event will rise by one third"
