Hi guys, thought I would show you all the new addition to our family

its an 03 BA T, baught it from a guy who had a lite bingle in it, he ran out of money fixing it (apparently his insurance had expired 3 days before the accident)

It was sitting in his shed for 18 months and least to say, it was a bit stiff!!! Anyways, at the panel beater for a few weeks and here she sits

still a bit work to be done, tonnue cover etc

Unfortunatley, there is a reason why I posted this topic here

It was past its due service for about 10K and of course the turbo was rattling and now ceazed!!! :spoton: The bearings are obviously gone, question of course guys is what is every bodies opinions and experiences in sorting this issue out, what the cost were as well would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

mate I believe a turbo overhaul should cost you less than 2k providing the housing isnt damaged which in your case it sounds like it will be fine

rip it off and take it to a reputible turbo specialist and have them check it out

Or upgrade the thing...

You should be getting new lines also, not just the oil supply line, but you should replace the oil drain too, if its clogged the oil will burn up in your turbo and create carbon blockages which eat bearings
