If the car trys to move when u start it up with your foot still on the clutch then there is something wrong with the clutch hydrolics. Member 1,742 Member For: 16y 11m 5d Gender: Male Location: Earth Posted 28/12/08 09:32 AM Share Posted 28/12/08 09:32 AM Not necessarily at all.If there is something wrong with the 'hydraulic' part of the clutch system, there could be a leak, bypassing slave cylinder or master cylinder.But, if all those components are ok, then it could be a sticky clutch friction plate, worn or warped pressure plate or nothing wrong with the clutch at all.Could still be the synchro's in the box.If there was no issue with the clutch before the 'new' gearbox was fitted, I'd be more inclined to check the gearbox out.
