If you are really after the BEST racing simulation out at the moment look at iRacing.

Only major drawback is that it is subscription based and you need to pay monthly or yearly for the service.

There is a game called "Live for speed" not been fully developed yet but I had a quick spin witha G25 and was very impressed. If it hasn't been mentioned yet might be worth a look. you should be able to google it...

GRID has been my fave so far, first real racing sim as opposed to Need For Speed style arcadey ones.

Great fun with the force feedback wheel and pedal set! Took a while but I won all the races eventually. Lovely graphics on some tracks.

On PC definately was modded versions of the old gp legends and modded nascar software engines. Gunna give NFS shift a whirl tonight and looking forward to Forza 3. Grid wasn't bad. Couldn't sink my teeth in like the original PGR or metroplis on DC in its day!

Grid is insane, I have it on my PS3 and always do the downhill mountain drift runs. :3gears:

Live For Speed was awesome aswell as it had a really complex control style and you could drop the clutch which is something Grid doesn't have.

Grand Prix Ledgends definitly had good controls, bordering on nerve racking yet highly addictive at the same time. Was originally built to run on the voodoo chipsets so need the direct X mods for it to run these days.

Street Rod, now that's oldschool. Nothing like building your car up and challenging a random for pink slips. Remember playing it on my 486 :spoton:

GRID was wicked, but forza motorsport 3 is hard to believe, most realistic game I have ever seen by a very long shot.. much better than grid. I'm in love; can hardly stop playing it..
