Hi guys,

I have run into clutch issues with my BA2 6sp manual xr6 turbo. I considered getting an 11" organic one put in but was looking at the best part of $2k fitted (which I would much rather get put towards an exhaust). I am fortunate enough to work at a ford dealership and noticed that the fg xr6 turbo has the same clutch as the F6 and is (relatively) reasonably priced (dealer price). This leads me to wander if anyone has tested the new clutch to its limit to find out its power holding capabilities?? Would it be possible to fit an FG turbo clutch into a BA2? I would have thought so considering it is the same box and motor combination. On an interesting side note for those who have acess to Microcat there is as yet no pressure plate listed for FG turbos. :roflmbo: Has anyone else come across this yet??

clutches are single plate 290mm and mine died in 11,000km with spirited driving (track work and skids)

and their input shafts have fine spindles, compared to the old coarse spindles.

so it wont fit

Simon from Xtreme has put more than 360rwkW through his stock F6 clutch without any slip.

I believe the clutch in the F6 is the same as the XR6T.

The gearboxes are different in the FG as they are a Tremec 6060.

The gearboxes in the previous models was a T56.

Yep, gearboxes aren't the same between BA/F and FG, so I don't think the clutches would be interchangeable.
