No, not at all Jules, I was being serious! 400 on a 4spd aint no easy task. I know Jim and the boys know their job and they've held the box together previously, but that torque curve is going to punish the box out at WSID!

Let us know when you are going out John, we'll come down and catch up. :3gears:

:secret: I don't look nearly as stoogey as Jeffro anyway :3gears:

Pat, You do not have to be harsh at the take off to get a good launch, but you are right putting it to the ground is a challenge for the 4sp. The car struggles to change to 4th when its being pushed.

I have a dyno graph telling the story quite clearly...

I'm more worried about the Diff and CVs.

That's a very strong result. Traction may become a problem on those MT's.

I think it's time to get serious and go for slicks and a much better time.... so stop stuffing around... you know you want to do it!

I've given it a few small hits on the road and the power delivery is more linear than it looks on the graph. The Maxxis feel good but when it breaks traction it wants to drift to the left quite abruptly rather than progressively. (like it used to). Maybe the diff is getting a bit tired?

I had a couple "moments" at WSID last time out and nearly put the car into the wall. I would like it to stay a little straighter when the rears bite at 1/2 track in 3rd gear!!

I will be asking Jim to play with the corner heights and maybe raise the car 1/2 inch all round in the process.

As much as everyone is telling me to go for a full slick, I want to try and crack a 10s pass on the 19s.

It's all fun !!

I hear what you are saying and am looking for a set of rims and tyres to suit the job but have still not come across a solution. I know plenty have done it...

HELP !!

hi mate, any chance of a mods list stock turbo?

cheers

Here you go:

Bottom end: Atomic Rods, Ross Pistons

Heads: Standard with Nizpro Springs

Exhaust: Tunehouse 4" dump pipe and SS exhaust, ETM Custom Extractors

Turbo: Tunehouse Custom Turbo, high flowed

Plenum: Nizpro

Intercooler & Piping: Nizpro

Injectors: Nizpro

Trans: Rebuilt 4sp Auto, 3000rpm stally with external cooler

Fuel System: Nizpro Bosch 044 intank setup

Suspension: Tien Coilovers with EDFC, Whiteline Sway bars

I think that's it. The rest of the bits (whatever is left) are standard factory components.

This has been a progressive 5 year project with a lot of testing and development along the way. eg. This is the 2nd after market Intercooler and piping, 3rd exhaust, the car had a Unichip, then a Haltech now Flash tuned.

and most importantly ... Build and Tuned by the boys at Tunehouse.

How does the THR exhaust sound at full noise JP?

With the power you have and choosing not to run a surge tank, do you ever feel fuel surge?
