Hey guys.

I have finally got myself into the 300 club after sitting on 280 for too long!

I fit a RAP1D's V.2 cooler and piping kit in my garage, this is good gear. Fitting turned out to be not as long or hard of a job I thought it would be!

This equipment fit real easy with just a bit of trimming, and piping was as simple as 'push in and tighten the clamp"! The only mod I did to this gear was TIG in a 1/4" BSP thread underneath the cold side piping so to retain the factory boost gauge sender unit as I want to keep the factory look in the cabin.

standard setup

All the small piping replaced, that's a lot of crap

Making adjustments to fit the UBP. It didn't feel right cutting into my car at all

Rapids setup lifted into place

All plumbed up

At the same time I gutted the APS cat as the core had shifted and crushed at the back. this turned out to be a bad BAD decision.

It was limped it to Simons workshop at Xtreme Ford Tuning to have the walbro intank fitted and be tuned, on the initial run he realised that it was over boosting to around 18PSI with 344rwkw!!!!!! (I have factory internals so this was bad)

I then had the bigger wastegate mod done to get it down to safe boost and still had overboost issues (thanks to a lack of a cat......), but after Simons mates fitted one of his XFT high flow cats boost was normal and he managed to pull 336.5rwkw on the rollers!!!

Nice

Im real happy with the ute now, its real strong on the road and I have tyres that need changing already.

Cheers to Simon and Mike and the guys from Extreme Ford Tuning for helping me out, I really appriciate it.

Good job mate... it can seem like a huge job when you look at all the pipes and stuff spread out all over the bench, but isnt too hard once you get into it.

Nice power there too, enjoy.

Well done Simon, good to see you getting some top results with the Rapid kit. They seem to be one of the best BFB kits on the market at the moment! See you at MV with a beer in your hand :spoton:

I've been taking Kevo's car back and forward to XFT for the past couple of week getting bits and pieces done, Simon, Mike and the guys are really helpful and know their stuff!!

This is a vid I took on my phone when the car was having overboost issues and let me assure you, in real life the car sounded like the RAAF making an extra low pass!!
