Not 'think you need a re-tune' at all.

Plenty of people have read posts in relation to cat changes and turbo overboost because of it.

If you don't think a tune is required after a cat change, so be it.

I would be interested to know what the gains would be in changing just the cat. I've heard of the cats failing in FG's running more power. I think the exhaust flows well standard but 3 inch isn't really that big if you wanna chase bigger hp.

Speak to Shev at Liverpool Exhaust - 9602 3111. They have done a few FGs now, and I believe they did BTA's first FG exhaust.

Livo Exhaust also just did a cat back exhaust for a 5th Anniversary GT I sold, sounds tuff, kept the same tips so it looks tidy.

On another note. How much difference is there between the XR6T exhaust and the F6 exhaust system?

None, they are both the same.

Isn't the rear housing the same size between the two and the front housing is smaller? In that case the dumps would be the same

Pat,

I thought the dumps would be different as the FG F6 has the old exhaust manifold off the BF and the FG XR6T uses a shorter manifold mated to the smaller turbo. The turbo mounting angle is slightly different I think.
