I see this nasty bit of plastic sitting in the opening and it doesnt seem to serve much purpose other than to obstruct my intercooler. I think removing it would help airflow more.Does anyone know if this part can be removed and how hard a job it is? Will it has some negative affect and cause my front bar to implode or will it be fine?I've circled the bit in question

It will make a cracking noise, but it's ok. And it will look sh*thouse removed unless you clean up plastic behind, I.e cutting it off so it is level with rest of opening.
