For example, the alternator, power steering, water pump and air-conditioning compressor rob horsepower from the engine. By replacing factory-sized crank and accessory drive pulleys with a resized pulley, the accessories are slowed, resulting in more horsepower available to the drive wheels. Typically, a set of pulleys from B.P.T. will increase power by 9 - 11kW's, and increase mileage. All pulleys are manufactured from Billet steel and aluminum, exceeding factory quality. All pulleys sets are fully neutral balanced at the factory.

I think I understand.Does that not just labour the other bits then running with less power?? ie if the water pump is running slower then it would have to pump less water.. yes?? would the power steering / ac stuff out quicker having to do the same job with less power??or am I way off?? prolly shuda started a new topic instead of hijacking this one... I noticed the difference as soon as it was installed. I can safely say that all other components like AC and power steering run perfect and you will notice no difference in the way the perform. Basically because the pulley is lighter and smaller than the factory one the engine needs to use less of its power to run those accessories. This means that it can then conserve it for extra performance and econonmy. Basically you are not making any "extra power" from what you already have, but you are just redirecting it into useable kws by not handing them oer to you A/C etc. that's where you see the extra 9rwkws on paper. For the price of the item it is a bargain given that I paid around $2500 for a stainless steel herrod exhuast which gave be roughly 15rwkw give or take. I would definately reccomend the product to anyone.

Jake27 Member 92 Member For: 16y 2m 6d Gender: Male Location: Port Macquarie Posted 09/01/09 03:11 AM Author Share Posted 09/01/09 03:11 AM My 2.5" X-Force catback system was fitted an hour ago :DI'm very happy with the sound, the guy took back what he said about the high flow cat working too now that he's had a look under it The extractors are taking forever to arrive too so I'll have to get it back into the shop to get those in.. ordered them 21st Dec which is annoying. The car feels a bit different but since it's pouring down rain here I can't put the power down to the road, but the sound is great The catback x-force system was $650 supplied and fitted.Once I've got the extractors, he's planning on customising something similiar to a cat that won't effect the two o2 sensors... I wasn't paying enough attention to what he was saying because I was too excited to start it up to have a listen Now I've just got the ph4490 and SS inductions CAI to fit as far as engine work goes before I get a custom tune The GT wing will be dry enough to fit tomorrow too which should look great on it

Will the car go in LIMP mode if I put an Xr6t exhaust on it?How much $$$ is normally involved in fitting an Xr6t exhaust?Does anyone have any audio of what it sounds like on a n/a Xr6??Cheers
