Nothing anyone says to you will make you change your mind. That was me. I was a V8 nut. I even paid a deposit and signed the paperwork, but asked to drive a demo XR6T while I waited - I was instantly won over. The T feels lighter and feels faster, and with the $$ you save over an XR8, a bit of work on the exhaust will make it SOUND faster as well. I can guarantee it.My XR8 has over 20k on it now and it is definitely the fastest car in the office out of 4 SS C'dores and 2 XR6T's and my XR8. One of the T's has 25k on it.My XR8 is the fastest accelerating and has the best top speed, however, the dampers have really gone past their use by date. The T still has really firm suspension, mainly due to carrying less weight. Yeah Dave for sure,Just hit 15K last this week, got it booked in for it's first service on monday. It just keeps feeling more responsive(excpet the brakes, damn I shoulda got premium brakes!!). I can't wait till I am 50 and my insurance is cheap than I can get a Herrod exhaust and headers. These boss engines are fair units, prolly take 50,000 to get max power, as Grant said they just get better.
