Hi how are we all.I was just wondering what fuel most people are using in there T's.I have about 10 000km on my FG and last night filled it with BP ultimate for the the first time and noticed the difference.Have been using Mobil and Caltex 98 octane fuel.Has anyone else noticed this or is it a case of finally getting some clean fuel.Cheers Nick

I always try & use Caltex 98.

Have found the other fuels to be a bit inconsistent sometimes. No pinging just muting the performance a bit.

Then again it could be just me or the air on the day.

I use them all and have to be honest that I cant pick the difference. Only little thing is that when I use caltex I get alot more black soot all over the back of the car compared to bp or mobil, but can't pick any performance difference.

I used to only use BP Ultimate, but the local BP increased the price to 15c p/l over ULP, so I switched to Shell V-Power.

No reall noticable difference. I can however notice if the wife has put in normal ULP into the TTG.

when it comes to fuel

shell supplies bp

and caltex supplies mobil

the only difference between shell v-power and bp ultimate is the dye that shell puts in the fuel to distinguish between the two, but they both perform and comply to the same spec. and same goes for caltex and mobil....

the difference between the fuels that people feel is more to do with the cleanliness of the servos tanks and maybe dishonest servo operators playing with fuel for profit, rather than the brand of the fuel... because in reallity BP fuel is actually shell fuel.

a good friend of mine works at shell..

Well there you go.

Now for vpower to make it do shell just put an additive into the fuel to make it 98 RON
