I had epic clutch failure yesterday arvo, the FG had to coast down my street into my driveway

basically went for a coastal drive (averaging 15kmh to 50kmh for about an hour), then parked up in Hillarys for 2hrs.

upon leaving Hillarys I noticed the clutch was slipping - I thought it might be a heat issue (37 degree day)

but driving on the freeway (6th gear, 95kmh) it was flaring to 5000rpm upon the slightest touch of the throttle (and even the cruise control buttons) ... and white smoke was billowing out :(

so im waiting for the tilt tray to arrive at my house (after Ford sent a Roadside assistance car to tell me that my clutch is f*cked, and then they sent a tow-van (like WTF?) and it couldnt tow my car, so im waiting for a tilt tray now)

its going to the nearest Ford dealership (cos its a free tow lol), that being Titan Ford.

warranty time... the car has done only 11,000km :(

with my blacklisting it all came down to the service managers say. he found rubber in the guards, no more warranty.

not sure if it has changed with the new models.

You probably wont get warranty work through Titans as they have really tightened their belt lately I heard. They used to be the place to go for warranty as they let modded vehicles slide through... Got caught a few times apparently :banghead:

Good luck though :spoton:

Mate with the driving you do (and love), just get an after market clutch that can handle your abuse.

lowering = clutch warranty void :banghead:

Why do you say that?

Tocchi, keep us posted with the outcome and the reason they reckon it failed.

Also, if they knock it back, keep the old parts, take heaps of pics and post them up.

I'd be interested in seeing the aftermath.
