If you go to a workshop that has experiance with Fords, its only approx 2-3 hour job. 1hour to pull box off, 30 mins to fit new csc, 1 hour to refit box and 10mins to bleed the clutch then bingo back on the road.

Not sure who in your area but most Tuners will have the nessesary equip to be able to do this job easilly.

Check out the advertisers forum/threads you should be able to find one close to you. AND yes invest in a remote bleed line from mal wood, well worth the extra cash.

yes.. prob gonna get the braided clutch line..

im in the malvern / Glen Iris area. Been lookin on google for places close but cant find nada (cept the one round the corner) Hopin to try and limp it where ever so I dont need to pay for a tow.

Been looking at the advertisers but there is only a couple which have there address or city. Makes it kinda hard cos I only been in vic for a few months and got no idea of whats about..

:cry::blink: :blink:

anyone who charges more than $350 to drop/refit a gearbox is having you on mate.... +$225 for the CSC its still $200 shy of what you payed.

I'd be finding a new mechanic.

.. I dont have a mechanic.. and 100 xtra 4 the tow. after going to every mechnic/workshop within 10 k's, they were by far the cheapest. I knew of a few places elsewhere but would have been more expensive to tow it there- and 4 me to get back there an pick up, thus making it no cheaper.

guys I just tried to bleed my system and the little bleed pin thing is so loose on mine, and I was scared to break it off when I was undoing it.

so I basically skipped it and just cleaned out my resevoir/filled with new dot 4 fluid....

did anyone else find theirs loose?

When you say loose you mean the whole extension with the bleed nipple on the end is loose, or the bleed nipple is loose.

If the bleed nipple is loose you would have lost your fluid.

If the whole extension is loose that's normal.

If you get someone to depress the clutch pedal and then try and wiggle it, it will be firm.
