Well no - It wouldnt work as well as a full system otherwise no one would run a full system...

You could probably run just a 4 inch or 3.5 inch (with seperate w/gate pipe) Dump, good hi flow cat and remove the centre muffler to make the power your looking for however, it would probably be at more boost than it would if you had the full system. Obviously the less restriction there is in your exhaust the better and if you dont get the full system your just pushing the restriction further down your exhaust and further from the engine... This isnt exactly a bad thing but it isnt exactly perfect either.

If your going for 350 first, just get the mods you need for that and if ya need to get a plenum and surgetank at a later date to chase more then that's fine. What you ideally want to avoid is doing a mod and then having to upgrade that mod with better parts further down the line.

well iv just got back from seen the guys at c v performance, ok firsty they said I definatly should get a surge tank, and they said I would be better of going with a process west kit, they advised if I wasnt to get the full street plenum kit too go for the process west stage stage too with the underbattery cai, now my questions are do I really need the surge tank? as a few of you guys say its not a must for now, and I thought the under battery cai wasnt as good as the inbox like on the rapid systems v3.5, for all parts and install and including tune is going to cost me near 10grand does this sound right because I thought to see 350 rwkw could be done for a bit less then that, any advice or help will be greatly appreciated, cheers

Surge tanks aren't generally a necessity for drags, but on the circuit and during hill climbs/spirited twisty driving it is good insurance.
