One forum says one thing, yet another forum says another... Please clear the crap and tell me the facts.Bit of information of what im aiming to do.Basically convert a xt falcon to turbo, but by using the original motor..I parts I will need for the convertion is: (red is not found)* xr6t fpr* xr6t intercooler and piping* crossover pipe with stock bov* 60lb injectors* walbro intank pump* boost solinoid on intercooler pipe. (Aluminium pipe under battery)* map sensor (under throttle body) I also heard you can get 2 bar maps from a company.* loom for boost solinoid* turbo, turbo manifold, water and oil lines* stock dump pipe, or 3 1/2 inch dump* xr6t oil sump (if I can find one)Now to bolt all the hard parts is not a drama, the problem I face is the boost solinoid... can I not include this, and use an aftermarket boost controller, so I can control the wastegate as well? This will make me not worry about the extra loom and solinoid needed, and I can control the psi levels with an aftermarket boost controller. How do you plumb in the oil and water lines for the turbo? I know the oil drain returns to the sump, not a drama, but the oil feed? Can I tap it off the oil pressure switch, or will this cause dramas? Also the water lines, the pipes off the water elbow, near the inlet is different, so I have come to the conclusion to tap them off the heater hoses..I also heard the ecus on the turbo model and na model are the same, yet another forum says they are different, to accomodate the boost solinoid.... what is the true answer...If ppl see things that I have said wrong, please tell me, and if you feel that I need to add more to the list, please let me know. You don't need the turbo ECU to do it, just make sure you go to a tuner that can appropriatly flash your ECU to run the turbo. ]I would reccomend getting a turbo ECU though and using the stock ford boost control through the ECU as I've heard this is better than any other boost control method you can use, however I have no truth to back this up, just heresay!I'm doing a similar thing except changing the engine internals, and I'm using a turbo ECU.
