A in part quote from Go-Auto Enews 6-Aug 2003

  Quote
WK Statesman July sales 406 (2662 YTD). BA Fairlane July sales 468 (938 YTD), Honda Accord Euro July sales 656 (1683 YTD)

Given that the BA Fairlane is in its first month of retail sales I think the writing is on the wall.

Another sucess for Ford and the BA range.

Well done Geoff.!

Already??!!!

Geez the statesman must be really bad!!

No, it's just that the new Fairlane is really good.

I drove a G220 - handles like a sports car and rides beautiful. I was very impressed - enough to get a quote, but I don't think I'll be going ahead with it as I can't get enough trade-in. Oh well, we wait for series two ...

I must confess that I didn't mind the look of the previous model (VX?) Statesman, but the new VY shaped thing is horrendous!

The G220 is a pretty smart looking car and there will always be a market for a performance type luxo that is in the mould of a BMW 540i or a Benz E430.

Well done Fo Mo Co but everyone has to remember that Govts only lose power, the Opposition don;t win power. The same analogy is applicable in business.

Here in the Sunday Times newspaper in WA there is a review of the new Expensive Daewoo Caprice, and the review said the handling of the Caprice was not near as good as the new LTD.

that's what I like to hear. But then again, Expensive Daewoo have always been lashed for their not-so-good suspension compared to the Falcon ever since the AU days...
