Any members on here in the western suburbs, particularly near Blacktown area? More to the point, would any of you be keen on a Putty Rd cruise sometime? I'm in Kings Langley driving a black FG XR6T sedan with gold stripes. Seen a few others in the area but so far I've only met one F6 owner who I catch up with every now and then. We have both been on Putty Rd recently and enjoyed it, although we did not venture all the way to the end but are keen to do so. If you're interested in this let me know.

I'm actually going on a Putty rd cruise on the 13th with the BMW guys, have never driven that road so if I like it maybe we'll do one for the XR's

It's quite an enjoyable road with a bit of everything. I haven't done the entire length of it yet but judging from google maps it looks the goods. Seems to be more twisties towards Singleton way. So there's a BMW cruise happening? I know there is a Skyline cruise on that date as well on Putty Rd.

twisties are twisty and plenty of good roads where the Ts are in their element and

can stretch their legs so to speak

This is certainly one such road. I'm keen to get some new suspension and brakes next. While the FG's standard handling is acceptable with decent tyres, it's still too soft for my liking. I know I could take some of those turns much quicker with a stiffer setup. I was initially looking at getting Bilsteins with King Springs but people have been saying Shockworks is the go, so I'll have to look into that.

Maybe I should leave the Bimmer at home and rock up in the xr and chase down the skyline boys...

Lol, their AWD would be quite helpful on some of those corners. What model BMW do you have if you don't mind me asking?

2014 328i with BMS Stg 1.

It's the wifes car, but really like the way it drives, may look at getting an M2 for myself when they release them next year and retire the XR for just track duties.
