We did it back in 2004 I think and it was a fantastic day, especially the Targa Route diving back to Lithgow, did some pretty freaky speeds.I think we had something like 20 cars to the caves and then most of the familys went home while us wild childs went on the targa run.Very fun day, if anyone is interested we can look at organising as I missed the last cruise.Cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did this back in April mid week and middle of the day with my brother in the car with me. No traffic at all coming in because the road is closed on the way out so buses can enter. We didnt catch any buses either so just had a clear run at very fun pace.Haven't heard of the east coast targa run but I can definately recommend the Jenolan caves road in. Didnt know about any private roads along the way where freaky speed were attainable.You sound keen, so make the effort to orgainse one, pick a date in the not to distant future and generally the rest will follow.
